i attended your spanish night last night and just had to let you now that it was outstanding. the flavours that you managed to pull out of the ingredients all complimented each other perfectly. the presentation was first class with the full rich ripe colours of the ingredients speaking volumes for the effort that you evidently took to get the best. the fish dishes were melt in the mouth and the duck stew was a taste sensation. i particularly liked the way that you and maria managed to give the appropriate gap between courses so as each course was appreciated to the full. it was also a nice touch that you stanley took time out to come and speak to your customers and also when time permitted you actually served the dishes. this conveyed the message that you were  confident in your dishes but would be open to  critique if it was offered.

We were recommended to the Lime Tree by our Guest House owner who was even able to give us specimen menus and copies of reviews.

A telephone request for reservation was dealt with in a very friendly yet professional manner.  We felt welcome even before we had arrived!

I think we might have struggled to find the Lime Tree easily had it not been for the advice we had received being strangers to Limavady and also Northern Ireland!  In the event parking was easy and we received a warm welcome from Maria.

The food is not cheap but good value given the exceptional quality and substantial portions.  The house champagne that we splashed out on was better quality than many found on other establishments lists at 50% extra. 

Stanley was often in evidence bringing out meals to diners and he always managed a friendly word despite obviously being busy.

Finally when our meal was over, both Maria and Stanley found time to explain their philosophy that guides their business and made it clear that quality of both food and service are their key criteria.

In our experience they achieve excellence in both and in summary we enjoyed the best of several fine meals during our brief stay in Northern Ireland at the Lime Tree.
